I've often mentioned this simple enough strategy in the
Irish Independent over the years. A great timesaver if you are looking for some
Cheltenham bets but don't have time to go through the formbook. The rules are
simple:
* Race is a non-handicap at the Cheltenham Festival
* Horse is top rated on official ratings
* Horse won last time out
* Horse is favourite
* Horse is top rated on official ratings
* Horse won last time out
* Horse is favourite
Backing horses matching all of the above criteria has
produced 29 winners from 64 selections since 2003 (45%) and a profit of €161.70
to a €10 stake:
